Hello,

I live in northern Idaho, and am blessed with the tough decision during hunting season "do I hunt from the back door or front door today"? I own 55 acres of ground, 30 acres of good harvestable timber and about 22 acres of hay ground. There are 2 ponds on the property, a class 1 creek and we border Forest Service. I bought a used 1988 Kubota L2250 with 1200 hours on it 1.5 years ago and would not trade it for anything. It does a great job for all the attachments I have. A rototiller (Italian mfg), John Deere Brushog, Farmi Winch, Valby Chipper, backblade and bucket. I have a little disc and harrow but have not used them yet. I would like to upgrade someday to a Kubota L48, but plan on keeping my little L2250. It does everything I need it to for right now. I would use the dickens out of the L48 with the backhoe. I would like to put in a few culverts and upgrade a couple of implements.

I look forward to learning from your experiences and might have some things to offer myself once in a while.

Thanks,
Tom in Deary, Idaho

Welcome to TBN from Missouri, we have a somewhat similar situation living on 300+ acres of mixed row crop, forest both old and reforested sections with some nice stocked ponds and plenty of deer and turkey. We usually go elsewhere to hunt deer just for family time, but usually take a deer or two off our own land.
