That's what I'm talking about! I have saved at least 50% on every implement and even ended up with several ones that were never used but purchased as part of other packages in same year.

Where do you guys find these things? My searches on craigslist in New England haven't been that positive.

I have the same experience in MI. Used stuff is at a stupid price. All my attachments for the LS have been new except the back blade and rake I had with the little JD855 (they are too small but work for now). New pallet forks $500, tree/post puller $900, grapple $1000, 74" pull blower $4000.

Your numbers on L4701 are little lite !!! FEL capacity is 1670 lbs pto hp 39.5 with 3pt basically the same !!! Rear tires are the same as front are not. One can put quick hitch on Cat 1 3pt hitch that will except Cat 1&2. Two years ago when I purchased my L4701 a MX5200 was only $1800.00 more !!!

Found the quote for the tractor referenced in post #26 while switching phones. The price was $28,000 but that included a Land Pride rotary cutter for $2000. I had the cutter added in for a package discount deal. The tractor price without the discount would have been $26,300. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

LINK: kubota equine discount - Google Search

MX Series Tractors: 20% off

$36,111 X .80% = $28,889
Just to somewhat update that price, I bought a new MX5400 with 3rd function, heavy duty bucket, two rear remotes, QH 15, rear filled tires, R1 tires, for $33,740.00.

Since I had to finance it (can't combine 0% Kubota financing and 20% Equine discount) my total cost to finance will be $38,039.00

if going w/Kubota, i wouldn't consider anything less than M series... do you have size restrictions for working the orchard(s)?

If you can check out a Yanmar tractor.
We have this tractor the Yanmar YT235C really
enjoy working with it. All the controls are at your
finger tips makes this tractor very easy to operate
and the seat is very comfortable. You get options
that cost extra on some other higher priced units.
No plactic fenders hood etc. Its really a cool tractor
with the a/c and not bothered by bugs, dust etc. Excellent warranties!

Not trying to be insulting but do you sell Yanmar tractors? I get it everybody pushes what they own but this thread was started in January and the OP bought a tractor.

Well, I sure liked the old Yanmars.
Incredibly reliable and simple to maintain.

What tractors did you have before the YT 235C? How do they compare?

I only had riding lawn mowers. My uncle had
a small farmall & a one lunger JD.They were all
standard transmission type and this 235 just
push the pedal no shifting very quick to go back and forth in seconds, no clutch to mess with or do you have the right gear etc. Back in the 70's worked for a farmer, IH I drove mostly the 100 hp one. He had a bigger one but all I know is it was an IH. Don't ever remember having any problems with them. I helped bail hay, cut fresh feed for the milk cows. Did milking etc. Never really wanted a tractor until lately got tired of all the dust and bugs on the riding mower so now have the YT235C. This tractor is very easy to
operate compared to the other tractors. Power steering, if you want a set speed pull a lever, whole different ball game when comparing tractors from then to now with all the standard options this one has. Have to get used to the backhoe and bucket trying to pick up cactus it don't want to stay in the bucket but I'm learning and enjoying cleaning up the yard from all the cactus the neighbors don't clean up their cactus and it spreads over here. Learned to chop up the cactus so it will fit in the bucket better. The backhoe need to use to get the cactus out from
under the cedar trees. This is the smallest Yanmar that I could get that had a cab. When ever I cut grass I was covered in dust, clothes needed a bath and me too. Wife said get the cab when I was looking at tractors without a cab. Some of the guys don't like cabs or backhoes but for me I enjoy them being nice and cool digging up the cactus and hauling it to a pile in the back sure beats a wheel barrow and shovel. When operating the backhoe and the temp is in the upper 90's it gets too warm just climb in the tractor
shut the door and have some cool water then back to work! I don't believe it takes more than 30 seconds to cool the cab. If you ever get a change test drive the YT235C and you will know what I'm talking about!

Willy, It's fun to witness your joy and enthusiasm. I am happy for you. You always remember your first!

I also really like Yanmars - especially their innovative I-HMT (Integrated Hydro Mechanical Transmission). I remember the ads for Kubotas and Yanmars in Popular Mechanics before anyone knew what a CUT was. Add to that Yanmars build of a gazillion John Deere CUTs, and Yanmar has quite a pedigree.

That said, your comments above could also made by Kubota, Kioti, New Holland ... owners. The new generation CUTs are amazing, but, You always remember your first!
