Newbie Analog Multimeter?

I find it's nice to have both types. There are times when I prefer an analog meter: audio, high voltage, relative readings where you're only looking for a ballpark figure.

I like my analog cheapie from Radio Shack. I only measure volts; 5, 12 & -5. Also do continuity. The batteries are cheap, that's what I like. Some of the digitals have batteries that are more expensive than the meter.

For an analog meter, it's hard to beat a Simpson 260 (with the roll top case of course). I have my dad's old one and it's excellent.
