HOWEVER---were the emails the rest of you got signed "Sharon"? Mine was. The ad says to call Tony at a toll free # to arrange shipping anywhere (even though the ebay listing up top says local pickup only). I'm betting the "placard" shown on the ebay item page is from the original auction, which could well mean they were inserted into the auction as 2005s by the seller. Judging by the appearance and the Bulldog loaders, one can guess the source. But how stupid would a supposed equipment reseller have to be to believe you were buying a pair of 2005 models that NEEDED to be "totally refurbished" as the ad states? And then continue to list the condition as "new". This is the part of the market that hurts us all.

I don't recall seeing Refurbished in the original ad. I think Refurbished replaced 'New 2005', when she revised the ad.

Now I wish I had told her the ones that go to auction may be the importer's warranty returns.

I think she got taken by her own wishful thinking and ignorance.

I wonder if the auctioneer has any responsible for a misleading listing?

Well, ebay pulled the listings now anyway. When I contacted her and said they were over 20 years old, she emailed me back that they were indeed 2005 models and that she would fax me the paperwork if I gave her a fax number.

I can't imagine why anyone would ever buy a tractor on Ebay anyway. If the seller is happy with the price, (and they always are), You paid too much.

Sorry, I don't have a fax but if you do, you can email her your fax number for the info. Here is what she said to me: "It is a 2005 model, I can fax you the paperwork on it if you send me a fax#.
