Replaced my 2003 F-150, the frame was rusting away fast, with a new 2012 Toyota Tundra. It's a 5.7 liter with tow package and a few other additions. Fast approaching my first 1000 miles and I love it.:thumbsup: Granted I am only towing a trailer with a B2320/loader and a box blade or my BX42 chipper, but it tows like a dream.:cloud9:
I still have to replace the girlie man tires with some LT rated units!:muttering::muttering:

I have an 07 with 29k. Its been a good truck so far. Oil changes are a pain in the $%#.The factory uses a plastic oil filter housing that isn't easy to remove.also, having to remove the guard to assess the oil filter makes oil changes a real pain. I'm in the process of replacing the plastic housing with 1 made from alumnium.

Iowachild;

Nice ride! You couldn't have worked the LT tires in the deal?

Very nice truck, if I ever wear my 06 Tundra out, I'll get one just like that.:thumbsup:

Nice truck, congratulations! I recently left the GM team and went back to Toyota, except I bought a 2012 Tacoma double cab 4x4 v6. Love it! Don't miss owning a full size truck like I thought I was going to, especially everytime I fill up and calculate my mileage ;)

Nice. My next truck will be a Tundra or F-150 Eco unless Nissan does something major. I owned a Tacoma and at 170,000 miles the only thing but fluids, brakes, tires, belts, and hosed I had to replace was the Slave Cylinder. Rust got the best of that truck.

I have free oil changes for two years, so I won't have the "fun" for a while.

NO! the truck I started dealing on had the same tires with painted steel wheels. I asked what we could do about changing wheels and tires and they told me they were not allowed to change the way it came from the factory. I had a great salesman that found this unit with the chrome wheels and some other additions and actually got a better deal on this truck.

So far I am getting ~16.5 mpg on mixed driving. Better than I was doing with the 5.4 Ford. I don't drive to work, so MPG is not a real issue with me. BTW the 2003 Ford with rusting frame I traded had 49,500 miles when I trade it. I had to replace rusted out exhaust manifolds at 45K!

I have one Ford, sadly. Manifold bolts are rotted off..Have a start problem that a new ignition switch and starter won't cure...Never again, I've had GM's for 25 years and never had issues like this. There are a few on this board yacking about the superiority of Ford over GM...Not.

Next motorhome will be a GM chassis to be certain....You should see the failure notice warning on the new starter...Sad.
