Would using a roller have worked better for painting the expanded steel? I know it's not "proper", but may have wasted less and covered better.

I thought about. We painted parts of the frame with a roller. Spraying took 20 minutes. top and bottom. Laying underneath with a roller dripping on me for an hour didn't appeal to me.

Well now that it is done we need to see a picture of it with the tractor on it.

It's been busy at work, so I haven't had a chance to get the safety inspection done yet. Should get a chance next week. I will post pictures then.

Finally got paperwork done. Trailer pulls great. Put tractor on to see how it fit.

Looks great! Have you thought about putting some "legs" on the ramps to keep the trailer from picking up the back end of your truck when loading? I have had this happen to me, that's why I'm asking.

Yep jealous. But my welding skills and the scorn I might get from TBN welding folks makes it easy to decide on Make/Buy decision. 😳

I do not profess to be a welder but I can weld.....if that makes any sense.....

As I build my trailer, beginning in the spring, I will know one thing....it'll be mine!

Legs on the ramps work good on flat ground, but I would suggest an adjustable rear support.
