Wow, looks like you did one heck of a nice job in restoring it

I have a set of new hood decals on hand but been postponing hood repainting because we are using the tractor...

I sure hope the bell-housing corrosion is not as bad as you think it is - usually cast iron does not corrode too bad, but with rodents inside (urine etc.?) you never know until opening it up.

Sooner you get it under control the better.

My fear is the input shafts won’t come apart. When I took off the lower cover it looks like there are two splined shafts that travel through the area joined by a coupling. But, they’re awful corroded and I’m afraid fused at this point. As you know, parts are almost impossible to find at this point, except for salvage yards and such.

I did not have any problems getting 1310 parts the last time, but it's been awhile...
Your's looks like it may have a hydro transmission so it's quite different if that is the case. (Mine has a 12 forward, 4 reverse manual synchro)

I should note that while it still needs the glow plugs for a cold start, even on the warmest day, it never failed or hesitated to start all winter when parked in an unheated shed. Even at -25C.

I try to avoid relying on just glow plugs and use the block heater, but there were a few times I was short on time.

My Ford 1700 was the same way, always needed the glow plugs. My 1920 does not need them till about 30F.

Same with my 1310 during the last 23 years.

Glow plugs always required at least for the first start even on a warm day and had no trouble at all starting few years ago in the coldest weather (8F).

Yes, I know 8F is not cold, but that's the coldest we've had here!
