Kioti DK45SE HST
I am quite new here and am purchasing my first tractor. I found a deal for a 2010 DK45SE with 170 hours for $16,500. I am heading to pick it up Thursday. It is a little more than I really need but bigger is always better right?

Anyways, since this is my first tractor I am wanting to know what to look at before putting it to use. I know to check fluids and such but what else? Are the items specific to Kioti that I need to pay attention to and check? I have tried to search but I think my google wand is broken.

I am sure I will search a ton on here and ask many questions.

With only 170 hours, there shouldnt be much wrong with it. Mine has 650 hours, and only a few minor bugs over the years. Its also a 2010.

Id probibly do a complete oil and filter, hydraulic, fuel filter change just to be sure. Never know if previous owner did any maintenance.

+1 Everything else should be okay

In addition to the above, I would check all of the wheel bolts and loader mounting bolts, and the little pesky bolts on the loader itself that hold the grease zerk fittings on. They often loosen up. And Kioti specific is the bucket level indicator, as its bolts tend to loosen up and you will "wad up" your bucket level rod. Check your hand throttle tension. If it suits you then all is good, but if it is too stiff, then you can read about it here

Thank you guys for the responses. I till make sure to check the things mentioned.

Now to start using the search and figure out which fluids to use. I assume it is quite like a car and everything swears by what they have been using.

Do you have a owners manual?

At 170 hours most components would be hard for the previous owner to mess up from a maintenance standpoint. I agree with everything above about things to do once it's in your possession.
A few things I would do since it's a private party. Look at the house, shop, yard and other vehicles- does this person care about his stuff? Look at the underside and grill for damage. Ask if he used it or he had others using it for business. Is the loader bent or damaged- does it raise and lower evenly? Is the bucket damaged from lifting heavy loads with chains etc. Does the 3 point show damage? Does the frame and loader frame look good?
98 out of 100 this is a solid machine that will provide years of use
1 out of 100 this was used by employees who didn't care about the machine- this should be obvious though
1 out of 100 he did something to the machine that bent or damaged a major component. If you take your time, look at everything and run everything you should be able to sniff this out as well.
Again odds are in your favor this will be a great purchase!

The owners manual will show the Kioti approved fluids. I used one of those the MobilFluid 424. There are several on the list. I just used Rotella 15W40 for engine oil, but if you live in a colder climate you may want something else. Ok, see you are in Tulsa, so should be about the same as here in Branson.
This little PDF chart may be of some value to you:

Murphy1224 - I do not think the owners manual is with it. I may be wrong but I will know for sure on Thursday.

RNeumann - I will make sure to look those things over. It is actually not private party but from a small dealer in Strafford, MO. They originally sold it to a guy that ended up moving to town and selling it back to them. So I am the second owner and it was sold both times by the same dealer. I am going to ask them a few questions on the maintenance to to get a better feel for where everything stands.

K0ua - Thanks for the welcome. I really like this forum so far. Also, thank you for the PDF link. That will help a lot especially if there is no manual with it.

On the engine oil, do you guys find it best to run oil for what the temperature is 80% of the time? It Tulsa, it is usually over 32F with the exception of a few weeks to a month of time. Would it be alright to run the 10W-30 year round?
