my first post of many i hope, well my problem, i have just purchased a used b7100d i guess about a 1981-85 model manual transmission 4wd, i drained all hydrollic oil from machine which dident much look like oil was a lot of water and the oil was all milky, now i am not sure which position the selector valve under the front seat should be in as there are no markings to state the position it is currently in hope this makes sense so far, now the b7100d i have had a loader and a backhoe on it i have taken the backhoe off for now, i can not get the loader to move either up or down. this machine was not operating when i purchased it, had not been run for a least 2years, put fuel in it checked oil and water, changed battery and after bleeding started with a little smoke at first but fine now, so if anyone can give me some help with the loader i would be very thankful, hope i havent rambled on too much,

thanks in advance

william

Did the FEL work before removing the BH? If so I would look at your BH hydraulic connectors and see if they need to be tied together to restore hdraulic power to the FEL. Where do your hydraulics feed from? Do they take their fluid from the valve under the seat or the hydraulic block thats located about a foot behind the pump?

I have a b6100. Parts a very simialr. Seeing as how we both have gear models. I've taken some pictures of the manual because its hard to explain. Here is a picture of the selector valve in the off position. Little fuzzy but u an still see how the valve is.

Here is a pic with the valve open. If u dont have any arrows on the valve then u have to try trial an erro realy because the open and closed position are 180 degrees from each other. Hope this helps

Oh by the way this is for ur model too because the manual is for b5100, 6100, and 7100 gear models I had a simialr problem with my front hydraulic blade. I have to have to 3 point positioning lever set back to the "up" position while using it, i dont know why but thats the only way it works. Figured it was designed like that because the lever stays in position until i tap it forward

The valve under the seat will run auxillary hydraulics but will render the 3ph inoperable. Basically it diverts the pressure from the 3ph to an scv or other hydraulic device.

This is true. My dealer helped me out with that one because i couldn't figure our why my 3ph wasn't working. I think u should really try that lever...putting it all the way back and it should stay there.

Loader hydraulic block on B7100. It's on the right hand side just above and a little afead of your foot.

B7100 3ph control lever. There is a slide adjustment that limits the the height. When when set height is reached lever pops back into original position.

No problem. I figured that was it. It took my awhile to figure that one out with my hydraulic blade. I'm currently trying to figure a way to hook it up so i dont need to do that, doesn't sound right to me....if i figure it out i'll let you know. Good luck with your new tractor.

hi I just got done redoing a b 7100 I had the same problem you had I eventually changed the controll valves to the hyd block because the block is a preasurized line you have to use a power beyond type of controll valve so the fluid stays presurized thru the valve and back to the other port you also have to run a third hose back to a tee off the fill plug witch is probably where your tank port on the current valve is plumbed that also allows you to be able to run a three point hitch and a loader at the same time i was able to buy the block adapter from my dealer if you need any part numbers or more indepth let me know it took me about a month to figure it all out also what brand of backhoe is on your tractor

Yah thats what i figured. My dealer told me there should be two hoses coming off that block and i only have 1. I dont really use it much so i dont plan on fixing it for awhile, but thanks, didn't know where to get the adapter.
