I have a old Wac 84 inch tiller bought it new in 2001. It is on it last leg needs to many repairs to be fixed right. It has been through alot of abuse. I would like to get a new tiller same size. I know about king kutter I just don't think they are built good to cheap and not heavy enough. What other brands are built heavy duty you would recommend.

Kuhn or Rotavator are the heavy duty brands I know of.
For the price is still go with km though. Just go in with attitude that you replace the km every five years. I bet it will stand up better than you think. Jmho.

I'm down by Bowling Green KY and 3 years ago I got a Kuhn from Sandford and Sons (really) in Bowling Green. Its the 62 210 model. Its the best peice of equipment I've ever used. I can till tall weeds and grass and it never wraps around the roter. Just a fantastic tiller. Holds their value well too. They have a new one on their lot if you give 'em a call. Its made in France on the German border. I won't get into the "where are the King Kutter/Taylor Way made at" debate but they have lots of parts from china in them. On my Kuhn the drain bolts on the gearbox and side gearbox are magnetized. When you change the gear box oil the fine little "shavings" from the gears are all stuck to the bolt! Like having a tiny oil filter on both gear boxes. The front gauge wheels make adjusting the depth MUCH easier than the skids on the other tillers. If your wanting a nice tiller that is fun to use (no mowing before tilling, no getting the weeds wraped on the rotar" get a Kuhn.

We stock the 84 inch Tarter for $2495. Comes forward rotation, can be reversed later if needed. Ken Sweet

I have a YJR080 which is an 80" gear drive tiller that I bought from Everything Attachments. I've used this for about 15 acres so far and it looks to be very well made and heavy duty.

I have had a Bush-Hog branded Rototiller that has been put thru the paces for nine years(10acres) and is still going strong.I service the slip clutch every year.I am in the north-east and have lots of rock,it just spits them out the back.

Have any of you seen or been around a Phoenix tiller by sicma

My Bush Hog Tiller is made by Sicma also.

Mine is a 48" chain drive, and I've had no problems with it at all. It came with a slip clutch on the PTO shaft.
