Picked up stihl ms 362 with 20" bar on Thursday. Only used for an hour under lite use. But wow. Can't wait till broke in. I have a husqvarna 455 rancher that's 4yr old. Use 24", and 18" bars on it.
I had a white oak cut out from next to my shop. (req crane ). Tree is about 4ft round. The 455 been great saw, but knew cutting up this tree was more than it could handle. Looking at getting 25" or 28" bar for the 362.

Congrats on the new saw.

The 455 is not a pro saw. And no, it cant hold a candle to a modern pro saw of similar CC's. Compaired to a 361/362, dolmar 6400, or husky equivellent, the 455 is a turd.

Enjoy the new beast:thumbsup:

The 362 is a great saw -- I came real close to buying one a few months ago.

I have ran 6 tanks of fuel. Then installed new stihl 25" es bar and full chisel chain. Then started cutting up the 4' oak trunk. Wow what a beast! Great running saw, and very happy

Yard stick across trunk. 9ft up trunk split into twin that are around 25" each side.
