hmm, thats interesting, was your belt properly adjusted? mine has never made any noise at all, i never even had the cover off actualy, so have no idea what it looks like in there, no one else i know that has a mule has ever mentioned anything about the belt making noise either. not to be argumentative, but i personaly like simple easy to repair things, so thats why i like the mule drive system over the hydrostatic drive, but thats just my preference, i just wish my 2wd mule had low range for more torque for pullin trailers and my roller

I have 1 1997 Mule 2510, perchased new. Never had any issues with it, other than cold starting problems, which still persist. Bullet proof reliable!

West Marine carries the engine compartment foam stuff. Probably pricier there, but we've lined much of a Rhino with the stuff a few years ago.
