New Piranha Bar

I've had the PTB for 2 years and it rocks. Turned my little 2320 into a digging machine -- removing brush or digging in clay, dirt, or rocky soil. The difference between the PTB and a plain bucket edge is night and day. I've worked it HARD and it's never even come close to coming off.

Glad you got yours. I ordered mine 10 days ago, along with $1000 worth of other stuff and it still shows "in process".

Guess I will just have to wait. I really need it.

Doing the honey do list for the wife and put my PTB on yesterday. Got a 72" bucket and she wants about 50 loads of dirt for the back of the house. Got five loads in before the rain rolled in but you will love that attachment.

Put mine on two weeks ago. Got the 60 inch light media bucket on my B2650. Couldn't be happier with it. Been doing some clearing of 12-15 foot tall honeysuckle, buckthorn and a whole bunch of other crap. Digging in about an inch under the soil, right next to the honeysuckle, and it pops right out, roots and all. The buck thorn, I have to put the bucket up about 4 foot, and push it over as far as I can, then do the same at the base, and it usually comes right out. Without it, not a chance. This thing really does kick butt. I own a machine shop, and for the 285 bucks it cost, I couldnt fab one up. Well, I can, but hours are money, so, no, not for that price. Good buy!!!

Just curious, but did you consider the IAM manufacturing clamp-on tooth bar? It goes on and off with simply clamping on two bottom ends of bucket. Teeth are replaceable also. I am deciding on one or the other products. I don't care to drill holes in my bucket.

I wouldn't want a clamp-on tooth bar. I haven't seen that one, but clamps are usually a recipe for a bent up bucket.

Drilling two holes in your bucket's side panels is no big deal, and the payoff of having the PTB is well worth the small amount of effort.

Gixxergary,

I have the same tractor and bucket and was wondering if you could guide me on the length you selected for your Piranha tooth bar?

I measured the inside dimension and depending on where you measure, it is between 58 1/16" to 58 1/2" wide. I'm going to attach a picture to help explain...if you measure the vertical sides of the bucket it is exactly 58 1/2"......if you account for the thickness of the welded reinforcements where the vertical sides meets the horizontal bottom, it is 58 1/16". Hopefully the attached picture will help show what I'm explaining. Based on those funky welded reinforcement, what lenght did you order? I can do metal fabrication so, if I need to extend the reinforcement to make a solid mounting surface at 58 1/16" wide, that will not be a problem.

BTW...I had a BX25 with the Piranha tooth bar and it turned that maching into an animal!!! I've since upgraged to a B2650, sold my BX's Piranha tooth bar and NEED to have it back on my new bucket. This tooth bar is far too economical and it performs so awesome that it is hard not to have one on hand!!!!!

Thanks!

From my perspective (or fear)... is if it isn't welded or bolted on... it probably will not stay on or last...

Unfortunately... I am not kind to my tools... I tend to beat up/abuse my tools...

I am not kind to my tools..but it is not intentional. I tend to beat up/use my tools hard!
