Do all the 425's whine when the treadle is pressed?

While in Tazewell, we played around on a 425 before mine was actually brought out and loaded. Since I was a beginner, I know we set the throttle down probably to 30 or 40%. I remember it being remarkably quiet and I don't remember the hydraulics whining quite like mine does. It seems to be fine and I've worked it pretty hard today...just an observation and I wanted to make sure this was normal.

I don't know if all of them do, but mine does. It's pretty quiet up to about 1/3 or 1/2 throttle, but once I start working it, it starts talking...

Mine whines too. Six hundred hours of whining. I had a Siamese cat who whined a lot too and I love them both.

I have 25 hours on my 425, it also whines. I don't mind. But, with apologies to BobRip, I wouldn't tolerate a cat, even if it didn't whine!

Throttle up and the engine noise will drown out most of the whine!

But seriously, HST tractors whine, too.

Whining is a function of hydraulic drive. It is worse at low throttle. PT's do it, skid steers do it, my NH TC40 did it. All of those machines are essentially big hydraulic pumps on wheels. 'Tis normal.
