Tractor
None right now...
Local Kubota dealer has a 2000 model 4310 GST with FEL and 1900 hours on it for sale for $12,500.

This is more tractor than we were thinking of getting when we were looking last year but the price seems good.

We looked at getting a L2800 HST and I was quoted $14,560 for the tractor and FEL.

The salesman mentioned that Kubota is doing zero down and 0% for 42 months on their new products and I was wondering what y'all think would be the way to go?

I think the new at 0% for 42 months is quite a deal right now. That way you can leave the money in the bank and just make the monthly payments while leaving the principle untouched.

Is the l2800 new?

If so, that sounds like a steal.

Whose the dealer?

Here's a situation where Zero down + 3 yr warranty + the L2800 is all you need = Trumps on this equation. Buy the L 2800 HST.

Please post pictures!

That is a good price but... are you sure you only need the L2800? How much land do you have? The price between new and used can buy a lot of impliments... (Also, make sure you know how old the L2800 is... how long has it been at the dealer - serial number will tell ya')

We have 17 acres on WNC and have about a 1/4 mile driveway we would need to maintain.

Our land was cut over before we bought it and needs to be bushhogged and cleared of some of the scrub.

We will also need to put in fencing and quite a lot of other things..

I think the 2800 would be fine for what you describe. The only concern I would have would be the stability of the lighter 2800 on the slopes. I have property their as well and own a l3400 (same as the 2800 with a little more hp), but have not worked my tractor their yet.
When I do though, I will have the rear tires filled, and try to use some common sense when working on the side of the hills.

I'd agree with the previous posts that the L-2800 will certainly handle the jobs you mentioned.

That is a bargain price for the HST, when I last checked it added $1200 to the bottom line; and if it is the later version, it has the added transmission cooler too? I assume at that price, it comes with the R-1 tires that provide added traction, and stability for slopes too? When I last checked, the R-4's were about an additional $400. Are you sure that is a new price, or a demo?
