Thanks, I'll check it out. I might be able to tie it in with a roadtrip. I'll just have to come up with a reasonable answer to my wife's inevitable question, " Why are we pulling an empty trailer with us on this trip?".

I think that BrianSouthernMD is too busy enjoying the work in his Toolcat to play on TBN. I know I have had this particular dilemma!
Persons always comment on the cost of the Toolcat, which is, seemingly, over the top. But I priced out "competitive" tractors and the price difference was simply nil when I compare the final prices. For example, my unit was originally quoted at ~39K but I bought my 56Turbo C for ~31K. Why IR Bobcat scares the financial pants off of people is beyond me...I think it has to do with community govts. purchasing these with taxpayers dollars and paying face value. ( About 8 months ago I was doing a google search for Toolcats and found a link to a communities authorization to buy a 2005 Toolcat with bucket for 38 and change /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif) Unfortunately, I see this trend continuing. The moral of the story...buy IR stock! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I hope that is true. However, he was by far the most active poster on the board until the day he stopped posting at all about three months ago. Is anyone in direct contact with him? He was the life of the party/forum and it's concerning to have his input drop off like that.
On the other topic, I think you may be correct about one of the major reasons why the Toolcats are so expensive. They are marketed primarily to institutions/governments and don't have a well known competitor (or any competitor) for the exact set of features provided. Great tool for grounds maintenance especially on a corporate/government scale but less competitive pricing than ag or utility tractors.

BrianSouthernMD is back on TBN and the Toolcat forum! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I took a TBN break the last few months because all my free time was spent preparing to host a party for 325 friends, neighbors & relatives on our farm to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. The event, held last Sat Apr 22nd, was a great success.
Toolcat was used to move around the pig we roasted, install pipe & vinyl for a large awning and a huge frame tent, move tables & chairs, as well as cutting vines and limbs, brush cuttting, grass mowing, repairing gravel roads, ditches, etc.
One reason the farm was ready for such an event was the 200+ hours I put on the Toolcat this winter & early Spring. Details to follow...

I jsut like reading about them and what you guys do with them. Just in case one day they build a lower priced model.
Although it might not be that long, the big exclusive hotel in town just bought over $7,000 worth of our olive oil. I get a few more like that I may just be joining in your toolcat owners group. Wel I can dream right????
