Hi. I just moved out of the city' (Wash DC region) out to a very rural area in Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley. Anyways we bought a small piece of land we plan on growing some if not most of our own food, as well as raise some livestock. Kind of a hobby farm but more than that. Perhaps figure out a way to make the place pay for itself or at least some of itself. Hoping to meet some of you all online and share some stories and advice as we go along.
