I've owned a 1946 JD A for a couple years and have been tractor shopping again for a few months. I've gotten a lot of help from this forum as well as ideas for how to use the tractor and things to build (ballast barrel). Anyway, I wanted to say thanks for all your help.
I verbally committed to buy a 2012 JD 4720 from my dealer today. He used it around the dealership for moving snow and such this winter, so it has 200hrs on it, but I'll get a "new" warranty. I'm pretty excited...will have it for the weekend! I have about 30 acres of wooded property with a pond and a fairly short gravel driveway. I'll do some land clearing, landscaping, mowing etc. The tractor is surely more than I need, but it will be valuable therapy for me.
Happy tractoring!
