I just picked up a brand new Kubota L5030HSTC and the dealer is waiting for a FEL to come in. My question, is the Kubota factory FEL, I forgot the model number, the best FEL for my tractor? I traded in a L4310HSTC mainly because I needed a little more power and wanted more power with the FEL. Thoughts?

I would assume you're talking about the LA853 FEL and of course I can't say for sure what the best FEL is, but personally, I prefer staying with the factory loader that was designed for the particular make and model of tractor. In other words, that's the loader I'd want if it were me.

Thanks Bird, that is the model the dealer has coming in for me. I still haven't learned all of the Kubota numbers. I've been with the green tractors for 20 years and still have those model numbers bouncing around in my head. I am leaning towards the factory Kubota loader, but I just have never looked at anything else and I don't feel informed. I suppose I can't really go wrong using the loader designed for my tractor?

I am happy with mine. Get the bobcat style quick detach. It's handy.

Takes about 1 minute to dismount the loader and 2 minutes to put it back on. Just be sure you clean and cap the hydraulic couplers each time. You might want to add a tarp strap wrapped around the hose bundle and hooked to the loader frame. The hose bundle wants to rub the hood.

Dargo, I seem to have all the power I can handle also. I do not think you will be disappointed. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Great! 5030, I see that you have the rear work lights on your tractor. I ordered the "rear work light kit" from the dealer and am having him install that when the loader comes in. Are your lights the Kubota lights? If so, do they work fine? Do you have any idea how much more the quick detach loader set up would be over the standard issue? Sorry for so many questions, I suppose since I just spent a bit of coin I want to get it right. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Yes, the lights are Kubota. Mine came that way from Columbus, Ohio to the dealer. I bought one of the very first 5030's sold. The lights work well, however, I may mount 2 more on the front. I need more light at night.

I think the bobcat style quick detachable mount was about $250.00 extra, but I can't remember exactly. My IR Bobcat attachments fit right on.

I am waiting for my dealer to shoot me a price on a new M-105SA with a self leveling loader. I need some more PTO power. I think 99 at the back will do. I like the 5030 so much, I'll keep it too. The 105 has an air-ride seat. The 5030 could use one. I just can't do without a hydro. The 105 has 12x12 shuttle.
