Wish I could help. My machine has the tool less quick change bucket and a custom thumb made by Michigan iron.

I remembered I had some pictures a fellow L45 owner took of their factory setup when I was researching thumb options for mine. I think I see a bolt through that pin.

Thanks, it is a different style quick connect unfortunately.

The dealer phoned me back this morning and said there's a set screw, I dropped the bucket and it was hidden under the ear.

It was tight, but not touching the pin, the set screw lines up with a hole in the pin meant for a bolt, which the set screw should protrude into and keep it from moving around. However it appears to be bottoming out before doing so. I may see if the local parts store carries one that has a longer taper to it. Or could spin the pin 90 degrees and see if it will hold like that.

Well, I tried. LOL

I'm glad it looks like you understand how it is supposed to work, shouldn't take much to make it work properly.

No worries, I appreciate the effort greatly, it would be much simpler if mine was the same setup as yours.

Ok, so the set screw hole was not tapped all the way through and would not allow the screw to even touch the pin, nothing a tap couldn't fix. The other issue is the pin is designed to be used with a bolt passing through, so when it was assemble the bolt hole was in line with the set screw, but the diameter of the hole is larger than the screw and goes right through which would not allow the set screw to bottom. So the proper fix would be to have a small flat spot machined 90 degrees to the hole in the pin where the set screw could bottom onto and not allow the pin to shift side to side. For now I tightened it down onto the surface of the pin and it seems to hold well, but will talk to the dealer about having it machined or replaced with one that is designed for it.

Also please note while getting something new that has issues is a little frustrating, please don't take me too serious if I sound like I am actually upset, I like to joke a lot and sometimes it can come off the wrong way. The dealer was quick to respond and passed along any information they had to help. I'm an hour away from them so it's not like they can send a guy that easy to see what's up. I also know that not everything goes together smoothly all the time, once a couple things are sorted out I'll be golden.

I am back up and running for now, spent an hour spreading some gravel around the driveway where I removed part of the lawn to widen the parking area. It will take some getting used to with this larger bucket, it's not as easy to see around and lifting a full bucket of gravel is barely noticeable, the B2650 would feel very front heavy with a bucket full of the same stuff. I also have to be a lot more cautious of my surrounding as it's taller, longer, and wider than the B2650 was, plus if you bump into something with it there's going to be a lot more damage.

Thanks to all of those that posted replies, it is appreciated greatly.

I'm sure your dealer will make it right. It sounds like an easy fix. They could probably just mail you the proper part and you mail back the one you got to save everyone the hassle of traveling.

It sounds like you are getting the hang of the bigger, more capable machine.

I just dropped the landscape rake off the back of mine today and dug out the 6' brush hog. I did ~2 acres of hogging, still have another ~4 to go.

This machine is so versatile you simply can't go wrong!

Sounds like you were having fun too.

I think if I had a ssqa adapter plate that I could put the grader scraper on for doing the driveway quickly it would be a real benefit, then I could leave the backhoe on most of the summer.

Honestly I always fret and act lazy to remove the hoe and install the 3 point but in reality is a quick and easy task. Easily from hoe to 3 point implement in 30 mins or less.

Was down to help the neighbor dig out this maple stump today, figured we would use both tractors to make it go quicker. If you look closely his Mahindra 3016 is behind the stump. Should have gotten better picture with both machines beside it.

Can't believe how much faster pulling a stump is with this machine, both tractors digging took about an hour and a half, maybe two hours to have it out of the ground. We weren't exactly in a rush, so not too bad. We also stirred up a bees nest, but they didn't seem to care about us, just all over the place looking for their nest we think.

That bucket pin will not stay put, kept having to knock it back to center while digging. Hopefully the dealer comes up with a fix for that soon.
