Kubota B2620
Well, I finally did it. I am now the proud owner of a brand new B2620. I have been reading many of the posts from other people about what to buy and learned a whole lot. So, thanks to all of you for your input even if it wasn't directly addressed to me I found it helpful. Since I have learned enough to know that everyone likes pictures, I have enclosed a few.

Now, I do have a couple of questions. The manual says that it won't start unless you press the clutch, but it seems to start just fine without doing that. Is this normal? When I tried the 1/4 inching valve, it would only go up. I noticed that there was a nut on the stop for the control lever that looked like it might adjust it. I managed to get it so that it looks like the control will work up and down in the 1/4 inching area, but the quick down position doesn't move any quicker. Is this the way it should be adjusted. The owner's manual was less than helpful in this area.

While I am very new to real tractors (only an hour), I feel I am going to be able to get the hang of loader work and it was fun moving dirt.

Not sure about the clutch function (HST here), but from the looks of your pics, you got a real beaut! Thanks for sharing the pics and looking forward to hearing how your new Orange friend works for you.

Congrats on your new Tractor, you are gonna love it! Mine starts without depressing the clutch pedal as well. Don't need to be in the seat either. As for the 3ph, if you don't have any weight on the the 3ph then it will lower very very very very VERY slowly. Your tractor sounds just like mine. Enjoy it! :p

Congratulations on your nice looking tractor.

I would prefer that dash over my BX25. I like the large RPM meter and that it has a seperate hour gauge. Enjoy!

Congrats! B's are sweet machines. You'll like it and it'll work harder than a horse, just feed and water it regularly.:)

Congrats on the new rig! I too have a 2620 w/ about 70 hrs. on it now (purchased last July) and absolutly love it. Every time I take on a task and dont think this tractor will do it (lifting big boulders etc...) it always pleasently surprises me. I too dont have to press the clutch to start. My friend has an 08 L34 (HST) that I was using last week and his needs to have the clutch depressed to start. At first I got on and went to start and couldnt and I checked everything to see what I was doing wrong and then after a couple minutes realized to try depressing the clutch and sure enough started right up (just wasnt used to doing it) :D Enjoy and good luck

Congratulations 0n your new B series Kubota tractor. You'll just love it, the B's seem to be the perfect size tractor for the home owner who has acres to work and play with. I'm quite sure you'll not regret buying the Kubota as It's repretation for building strong preforming Tractors are well noted. Keep a line open with future projects and of course do add pictures.

My 2920 does the same thing, no clutch and it starts fine whether in gear or not. Maybe it only applies if the PTO lever is engaged, have to check that out.

There is a down speed adjust knob below and in front of the seat.

Let me say it again s l o w l y.........if there isn't anything attached to the 3pt arms then it will move very very very very VERY slowly. Need weight to make the arms drop with any speed at all REGARDLESS of the drop adjustment knob positioning.

Make sure you keep these first pictures, you'll never see it this clean again!! :)

I guess that the manual is wrong about needing to depress the clutch to start. I was off the tractor and it starts just fine. It is an HST, since the B2620 only comes that way.

I did find the adjustment knob for the 3PH and it will move down pretty quickly or not at all depending on the position of the knob. I will try it with an implement and see if that makes a difference.

Yes, even though I washed it after trying it out, I am sure that in time it will not be possible to make it look just like new. But, tractors that look just like new probably aren't doing what tractors were designed to do.:)

Very, very nice tractor! Some quick advice--when you do put some weight on the back end, test the down speed on a soft dirt area. It will avoid any damage until you get the knob adjusted to your preferences. It's pretty sensitive, so small turns until you like it. Enjoy!

Agree with Mike....when I change implements I close the valve off and then hold the lever in the down position and then slowly turn the valve to open it stopping when I get the drop speed I want....it doesnt take much and if you have a heavy implement back there it will hit the deck quick.
