New JD Owner

New JD 5105 with 522 FEL delivered today. Had fun moving a horse manure pile for about an hour. Now I have to satisfy the boss by selling my old MF 230.

I use a newish JD 3320 to help manage my horse manure. We compost and spread using a ground-driven manure spreader. The only problem is I need to use the FEL to load the manure spreader, which of course has to be detached at the time. When loaded it is no fun to connect the manure spreader to the tractor's drawbar.

Maybe someday I'll get a gator too pull the speader with?!

Just buy another tractor to pull the spreader with....

Hook the horses to it and make them pull it. They made that mess.

Hard has the right idea. I picked up an old Allis Chalmers C for $500 that does great pulling a ground driven spreader. Old tractors without 3ph can be had dirt cheap in most areas.

Gotta agree. An antique to do some light work (manure spreader, hay raking, pulling wagons) is ideal. I would love to have a two cylinder for that task. Maybe someday...
