Backhoe new holland tz22 with backhoe

I was wondering if anyone has used a NH tz22da or TZ series with a backhoe.
In the fall I want to do some light shallow trenching and wondered if it is a good investment for such a small tractor? Appreciate you experiences

I am not familar with it so discount my comment by about 99.99%!!
That said, I'm a fan of bigger is better. If you come across a root or rock, you will appreciate extra oomph.

If it's a one time project, could you rent? (as much as I abhor that idea!!)

Whether a backhoe is offered is one question. Whether anyone should buy one is another. It makes no sense to me at all.

My brother has a Kubota BX24 which I believe is the same size as your New Holland.

It is a small machine and will do the work of a small machine.

Being small means that it is very easy on the turf, and also very easily transported.

I have used the backhoe several times, and it is nice to use, but rocks and roots can be a challenge.

You will find if you purchase one that it will really come in handy. One the other hand, to buy it for one project seams a bit of overkill.

There is nothing wrong with renting equipment. Most smaller construction companies own their equipment that will be used all the time. When a project calls for a specialized piece of equipment, it will almost always be rented.
