New Holland 545 questions...

And, sadly, New Holland doesn't make anything very much like them anymore. I have a customer looking to replace a smaller, yet similar loader, a 345D, which needs over $3000 worth the work. The work is going to get done because we really have nothing to offer him.

Wishing you many happy years with your "new" tractor-loader.

The 545 is a later version of the Ford 4500 and should be able to accomodate either the 13 foot Model 753 or the 15 foot Model 755 Ford backhoes. You'll need a hydraulic attaching kit (tubes and return hose) for the installation plus the attaching components to physically attach the backhoe to the tractor. The tractor should be equipped with the Model 740 Loader (or its equivalent) which includes the lower backhoe mounting lugs at the rear of the loader frame. I have no cost knowlege, but a knowlegeable installer could do it in an hour or two to add a backhoe installation to an existing tractor-loader.
