Had a brand new 835M delivered this morning. I had been to the dealership and got my paperwork and keys last week. It was delivered today. The dealership left it in the driveway and didn't even knock on the door (I was home and my lab would have gone nuts) after I saw it I went out and started it no problem (all seat belts fastened). Put it into reverse, pushed on the accelerator and nothing. Pushed further still nothing. The accelerator went almost 1/2 way to the floor and RPM were between 1700 and 1800 before it started to move. Exact same for going forward. No movement until between 1700 and 1800 RPM. I drove it around the yard and got to about 15MPH so I know the seat belt speed limiter (9mph) isn't the issue. Called the dealer and he claims that the main clutch doesn't engage till around 1400 RPM so 1700 isn't far off. I can't believe that this is normal (and no, stupid me didn't drive it last week when I went down to do the paperwork). Am I being told correctly that this is "normal"? Anyone else have a similar issue with a brand new Gator? Thanks for any advice.
