Finished the side and got to building the eve. Set up a set of scaffolding, it was perfect height to rest on my shoulders while my buddy screwed it in, then i went back and put 4" lag bolts in. Roof and trim ordered for that. and should have it next week. Will get the fascia boards and pearlings on it tomorrow, then it'll just be waiting for the roof and trim so we can finish the front.

What holds the triangle pieces to the 2x4 that got the lag bolts?

Why not ones over the man doors? I want to put something like that above my man door.

The triangles are screwed from the back and front with 3” screws plus a 6x6” piece of plywood on the sides with about 10 screws. The man doors will eventually be covered by a walk out balcony on the second floor.

Finished the overhang and got the pump jacks moved and the rest of hte tyvek up, just in time for a blizard. they're calling for 18" of snow.

Just a little snow for you guys. 1/2 here and the shut down everything. If the news even says the work snow, there is not milk or bread for 100 miles.

The homeowner is a huge pain sometimes, lazy, cheap, and completely unreasonable. But he has his good points too.

Went and did some oil changes and rebuilt the carb in the snowblower for the first project in the heated garage. Bullet heater got it to 60F and it was very comfortable. I should have done this years ago.

My recliner got kicked to the garage to make room for the Christmas tree.

I wish I’d done this a long time ago, would have made all the projects that came before it so much easier. The only special tools I needed to do it was a backhoe and bobcat and honestly I could have rented the backhoe and done without the bobcat. Oh, and covid. I couldn’t have done it without a pandemic taking the world by storm, forcing me to work from home.
