Got a question on the bathroom, are all your garages that close to your home you can run to your homes waste system or did you put in another septic/sewer system. Seams like a big expense to not have to go pee on a tree. Also if I have just gray water(shower & sink) does any body know what the rules are, do I need a full septic system or can I get away with something less

This question is going to be area specific in it's answer. I live in the country with little or no regulations. I can dump raw sewage as long as I'm not dumping it directly onto my neighbors.

As for the expense, it cost me an additional $200 to add a septic tank versus just dumping gray water. When added to the total cost of the shop it was very insignificant.

None of my Boy's shops have a bathroom but they don't hesitate to use mine on those cold winter days. We've pee'd on many a tree!!! :)
