Took some pictures of my CT225 (basically a 230 with a smaller engine) to show how my hoses are restrained. In addition to the J-hook welded at the bottom near the valve, there is a J-hook bolted to the loader tower. The hoses are just long enough to route this way without being overstressed or being too loose where they pop out of the J-hooks.

A few different shots, so at least one of these angles should make sense :)

Those HYD lines don't look right. I don't recall every seeing a problem like that with my CT230. Tomorrow when its light out I will go look at mine and snap a picture.

I was just looking at some general photos of my machine. Confirmed the same as Rus_Geek. They are tidier and pose no problems with the front wheel.

Take a look does this match yours it does not look like they routed the hoses around it from the picture with your wife on it and thanks to rus_geek for your pictures. I think what happened is it is a tight fit and were having trouble getting the lines hooked up when routed correctly so they just did it like.

How has everyone insured their machines? I'm told by (State Farm) my insurance agent that they will not sell a policy for it since I'm not actually using it for "farming" or a business.

Steve[/QUOTE]

I have a full coverage policy from Allstate for my CT335 which covers it from theft, trailering accidents, or direct on road collisions, and being for farming or business was not an issue. BTW it runs approx $160/6Mos.

RE: full coverage ins. I'm in west central wisconsin and have full coverage on my ct230 through Westbend Mutual Ins.

My agent told me I had 2 options . I could have it covered under personal property portion of my home and highway policy and it wold only be covered only on my own land for about $10 extra per month. or I could have seperate line coverage ( full coverage ) on the same policy that would cover the tractor any where it goes for only $20 extra per month .

my agent also told me that not many companies cover tractors for non farm/comercial use.
so if your insurance company cant help you then you will have to shop around.

Nice Pallet Forks, Steve. Did Everything Attachements deliver to your home or to a freight depot? I'd like to get a set. I'm in Atascadero, a few hours from you. I have Farmers and all of my equipment is insured through my homeowner policy. Thanks

Hi Archerm3,

Have you pulled anything "serious" with it? I'd hate to torque / twist the FEL or worse rip it off the machine and go sliding down the hill backwards... The winch I'm looking to mount is a beast.... 7/8" cable... I used it to pull a stuck skidsteer (8k lbs) up a 45 degree slope and it did not even slow down.

I also have the rear 3ph adapter, but would prefer to keep the rear tires down hill since they are loaded. Essentially the winch will be pulling the tractor up the hill. I can see advantages of having it mounted to the bucket (FEL) but first want to ensure nothing goes snap...

Thanks,

Steve

If you see my thread in the safety section, I used it to pull my truck out of a snowdrift after it rolled. I set the bucket tip down into a cornfield, lowered the back blade, and tried a single line pull of the 8000lb winch and stalled the winch motor, then I snatched blocked it back around to the bucket, and pulled it out, no problems on the loader frame, but surely that has to do with having the bucket planted down. I raised the front wheels off the ground to make sure I had the max weight on the bucket. I would feel fine pulling the tractor up a hill straight with the loader frame and winch on the bucket. YRMV.

Also, I check my loader hoses, they run over the top of the loader mount instead of under by the jhook as showed in your and rusgeek's photos.

Thanks Rus_Geek and Sabretooth...

My machine is MISSING :( the J hook pictured here on the loader. That would explain the issues with the hydraulic lines.

Hi Gumshu,

They delivered using FedEx National LTL Freight. Delivery was to the local FedEx National office (in my case that was near San Jose Airport). I think the closest location to you would be SLO.

FedEx Freight | Locations

It only took three days from North Carolina.

The are very lightweight 210 lbs... and seem to be well suited to the machine.
