CK20S
Well, I finally decided on a tractor and it ended up being a CK20S. I took delivery Wednesday evening and got a chance to mow the lawn with it last night before the rain started again. I wanted to thank everyone for their posts that gave me the information I needed to make the decision. I was between the MF2400 and the CK20S, but decided to go with the CK20S due to the extra weight/loader and 3pt capacity.

The rear finish mower is going to take some getting used to, but even using it for the first time last night wasn't too bad. I'm looking forward to trying out the loader and the front plow I got as well.

I'll also add my recommendation for Michigan Iron. They were very responsive to questions via email or phone and Bob took the time to explain everything on the tractor when I first went to drive it as well as the full tour when he and his wife delivered it. The tractor was washed and waxed before delivery, but unfortunately it rained on delivery day. Nothing a chamois couldn't take care of though. I feel like I got a good deal and, in what might be a first for me, I don't have buyer's remorse...yet.

I had a spreadsheet going comparing the tractors I had been looking at. Maybe others will find it helpful.

Congrats on your new tractor. Bought mine in March of this year and have no regrets at all. Took me awhile to get use to the mower on the back, suprised I didn't tear it off on something swinging around in a turn. Great tractors. Post some pics we love pics.

Congrats on the new tractor. Love the spread sheet. Says a lot about Kioti compared to the competition.

Hi Novi,

Congrats to you on your purchase of a new Kioti CK20. Buyers remorse after buying a CK20? What's that? Not on your life. You made a wise decision in your selection of Michigan Iron as your dealer and in your choice of a CK20 for your tractor. I am confident that as you get to know your CK20 and it's capabilities you will be reassured in your investment as a darn good one.

As you know, you will receive great support from Bob & Denise and their staff and that tractor is going to grow on you. Good going, Novi.

The Massey was a great little tractor but that CK20 is extra special just as you are finding out for your self.

Congrats and Welcome to the Pack!

I am sure you will quickly get used to the mower after swinging it around a few trees. :D

I like that DMace, welcome to the pack, in orange!

Good choice in a smaller compact tractor. Many years of happy tractoring to you! Congrats!

Let's see that front plow, when you get a chance. Is Kioti making one or is it a after market?

Nice looking machine. In fairness to the other machines, you were comparing a small compact against sub-compacts. Enjoy that little brute.

natem,
The plow was made by Michigan Iron and Equipment. Here are a couple of poor pictures of it. It has a Quick Way blade on a subframe mount with full hydraulic control. I'm looking forward to using it on the snow this winter.

MDM,
You're right, the other machines I was looking at were sub-compacts, but part of what I was looking at was capability/$ and total cost along with size. The CK20S fell into similar size as far as wheelbase and turning radius although is substantially heavier and taller and was at or below the price of some of the SCUTs I was looking at. I figured for same price (or less) I would get the machine with better capabilities. If overall size/weight were the main concerns, some of the other machines may be more appealing.

I like that blade. I presume you have to take the loader off to mount it? Does it use the loader joystick for control? How does it attach under the tractor?

Oh no! Don't make me add anyone else to my "ignore" list. ;)

Gittyup,
Yes, the loader has to come off to attach the blade. It does use the loader joystick for control. The blade frame attaches to a mount bolted to the frame of the tractor near the rear and another near the front. 3 pins and it is on or off. I would guess that after putting it on once or twice it will take the same amount of time as swapping the loader.

I want one of those! Even though we only get on average 4 - 8" of snow per year......Guess I can't justify it.:(

You just need to find other things to do with it and it makes it easier to justify!
