Kubota BX2200
Since I first discovered this site over the long Thanksgiving weekend, I have spent many hours marveling at it and learning from all of you.

I am impressed with the quality of the posts I find here, the usefulness of the information, the congeneality of the participants. You are all to be congratulated for establishing such a great on-line community.

I'm glad to become part of it, and hope that I may contribute in the future as you already have.

I stumbled upon TBN while searching for any more information on the web about Kubotas. The week before Thanksgiving I made up my mind to buy a BX2200, and had it on order while I relaxed over the long weekend. I'm glad I went web surfing that day. I've really enjoyed the threads about hydro-filled tires, tire chains, 3pt hitch receiver conversions, and lots of other topics.

I just spent my first weekend with my new BX and I'm really impressed. I got it with the FEL, the 60"MMM, and a no-name 5' scraper blade. It's a compromise system for me. I'm replacing my 10-yr old Craftsman 42" lawn tractor and my 1964 model 65 Massey-Fergusson loader-equiped 50 hp diesel tractor with it. The BX is already proving to be a good replacement.

While I wasn't able to test the MMM this weekend here in central Minnesota - the grass just isn't green this time of year - I was able to give the FEL a good workout. I was amazed that with that little 4' bucket I was able to move three times the amount of manure in an hour I could with that 7' bucket on the old Massey. The speed of the hydraulics, the convenience of the loader joystick, and the rapid speed and direction change afforded by the BX's HST made the job a joy. I can hardly wait until next month when I need to turn over the manure pile again.

Thanks for the opportunity to share my experiences and learn from yours. I'm looking forward to many enjoyable hours on TBN.

Welcome aboard, Ed! You are in good company, that's for sure. There are a lot of us BX'ers around, and you can be one more voice in our chorus singing the BX praises. hehe. (Now I just KNOW i'll get someone riled up out there!)

I can't say enough about the little BX, as you are discovering. Somehow I didn't think it'd out perform that much bigger of a tractor, but the way you describe it, it makes sense. Just another example of bigger ain't always better. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Don't forget to take pictures for all of us to see!

Charlie, just another convert to the BX cult. I know he soon will understand my craziness.
Hey, good luck with your new little tractor--it is a great little machine that actually can do big tractor work. I know that gets'em riled up /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif but now you too know what I mean. Welcome to TBN and good luck with the BX

Yes, this site is great. As I have said in the past, if brain surgeons had a site like this, transplants couldn't be far off.
I shopped for a tractor for 9 months, this site helped me to make a highly informed decision.
