Well after much discussion, and the help of many on this forum. They finally delivered the new baby yesterday. GL3240, with draft control and rear remotes. Now if it would just warm up a few degrees and dry out some I could try her out. compressor 004.jpg

Great looking machine. Just how cold and wet is it down there?

I gave up on horses about 45 years ago. I like to step on that Honda and push the button. :D, so I don't run in that circle anymore, but if I run into them I will be sure to pass it on.

I'm not sure how much rain we actually got, my rain gauge ran over and I didn't empty it, but I'd say over the last week about 6 to 8 inches. Most of it slow and soaking which really helped because we were really dry. It' not as cold as Buffalo, but I've got a low tolerance, so anything below 38 is cold for me.

When its 38 up here we are still wearing shorts!

That answers the age old question "where do babies come from"

You are going to love it! Was on mine opening driveways, pushing trees out of the way from the ice storm, sure glad to have the cab today- 10 degrees out ,78 in the cab,fan on low ( just had to put in a indoor/outdoor thermometer)

Just a quick update on the GL3240. Rain finally let off for a few days, and I started actually doing some work with the tractor.
Cleared trees and brush, and leveled pad for new shed. The fender mounted loaded controls are very user friendly. You have the ability to rest your arm on the armrest during use. Loader joy stick operates smoothly. I was little disappointed in the break out force on the bucket, but the lift capacity on the bucket seemed good.
Don't like the safety switch on the seat, because if you raise up an inch it kills the engine.
Shuttle shift transmission is the best of both worlds between a fixed range and hydrostatic. You still have to clutch going forward to reverse, but you don't have to come to a complete stop. You do have to come to a complete stop to shift from High range to Low or vice versa.
Horsepower on the tractor seems ok for what I need. With Ag tires and 4 wheel drive engaged you'll break traction long before the engine stalls. 3 point hitch is SMOOTH, and the draft control GREAT.
All in all the GL3240 is pretty much what I thought it would be.

What dealer did you use? I am in St. Clair county and trying to find a deal on a L3240 as well, best price I can find so far is $19,300 equipped as yours w/o the draft or remotes.
