First off, thanks to all of you that offered some advice and answered what may have been "odd" questions regarding my purchase of a new B3030 Kubota.
They were finally able to deliver the tractor last week, despite having to drive 150 miles (50 miles with chains on) thru a heavy snow. I had the tractor delivered to a cabin I own in the mountains and that is where I intend to keep it.
I ended up getting a B3030 with:
Kubota LA403 loader and an ATI grapple and Tooth Bar
Wade Chain Box
Kubota Quick Attach
Kubota Pallet Fork
Woods BH80-X Back Hoe with Thumb
Woods Rear Blade
Block Heater

I had some fun moving a little bit of snow around, but am still getting used to it. I did have problems trying to move snow with the FEL in Float. The tractor kept trying to ride up over the bucket. It didnt seem to make much difference as to whether the bucket was angled up or down. Other than that, I had a great time getting my first few hours of "seat" time.
Unfortunately, we have to go to Hawaii for a week of grueling meetings, and as hard as it is to believe, I am quite sure my mind will be back in the mountains wishing I was moving snow.
Thanks again,
Friver

Let me be the first to congratulate you on the nice rig.

Also, let be be the first to offer to attend the "grueling" meetings in Hawaii in your stead. :)

That is a great looking unit, have fun and good luck. Every attachment that you bought will come in handy for about any job that you can think of.

Congrats, nice rig. You'll love it. About the bucket's angle... yeah, it takes a little time to get used to it. It's part of the fun.

Have fun!:)

Congratulations!! That is one great looking tractor. Makes me want to get one just like it to keep mine company.:D Seriously though, I really like the B3030. If I won the lottery I'd get one just like that with a backhoe and MMM.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate all the help.

Looks like by the time I get back, all the snow may be gone, so I can try a few of the other implements (Backhoe for instance).

Take care and thanks again. Will keep you posted on progress.

Very good choice, congrats. I purchased a B3030 HSDC a couple years ago. It's been a great machine, not too big, not too small, a great all purpose tractor, enjoy!

I'm curious... how many years are you talking about? I bought my B3030HSD in May 2005 and I was one of the first to get one up here (in fact, the cab version wasn't arrived at the dealer yet). ;)

I wasn't sure to wait or not for the cab version. The choice has been hard to make. Ahhh... nice cab, but I wanted a BH75 too so I opted for the backhoe.

Ouch, rough day indeed.
The B3030 is really a nice machine. So, October 2005... a year and a half then. ;)

Looking foward to getting back to work, my machine has not been out for almost 3 months, no snow here this winter.

Hmmm... rough winter too. What a shame for a tractor with a cab. I could have used a cab this winter for sure.
I hope you poured a fuel stabilizer in your fuel tank!

Friver... I'm looking forward to see some action shots of your backhoe and your grapple. :)

The beauty of the fact. cab is year round protection from the elements, be it heat, cold, precipitation or pesticides. For us it was a no brainer, $4500. for the cab was money well spent.

I agree with that. We didn't have much snow this year but when I needed it I kept warm and dry while listening to the radio.
