New B2620

I received my new B2620 last Thursday.Bought it to do maintenance on my property.About three years ago I bought a new L3240 with FEL and BH to do work on my property.I put about 830 hours on it but now the work is done.The only real purpose I had for it was plowing my driveway in the winter so I sold it.I also had a BX2360 that I bought new two years ago.I only used it to mow the grass so I traded it in on the B2620.I wanted one tractor to do both and decided on the 2620.It is hard to have one tractor do everything,can't be too heavy for mowing or too light for plowing.The 2620 won't mow quite as nice as the BX or plow snow like the 3240 but hopefully I will be happy with it.I used it to mow once and was pleased with it.I made a few modifications to it and plan to do more eventually.So far I have replaced the TPH turnbuckles with adjustable stabilizers.I made them for the BX and adapted them to fit the 2620.I also made a bucket level indicator that I patterned off the one on the 3240.I found the loader control valve too far forward so I bent the rod back to make it more to my liking.The foot pedal was too low for me so I raised it up about one and a half inches.One thing I didn't like about the tractor is the unpainted exhaust.I know it is trivial but to me it just looked cheap so I painted it with high heat paint. Future plans are front weights,LED lighting,tire chains,and a five foot bucket off a B3200.The bucket will only be used for snow removal so I think the 2620 will handle it.I prefer snow plowing with a FEL bucket even though it is slow as it makes less mess of my driveway.I have added a few pictures.

How much harder is it to maneuver your tractor vs the BX you had? Also does front tires on new tractor tear up yard? Thank you!

I was surprised at how well the 2620 is at mowing.In 2WD it doesn't really tear up the yard any worse than the BX,they will both tear the yard while turning if in 4WD.It seems to turn as sharp as the BX but I try not to use it at full lock as it is a bit heavier than the BX and could tear the ground up.One thing about the 2620 is it doesn't have hydrostatic steering,like the BX has,so the steering wheel has to rotate more times for a full turn.The 2620 took some getting used to on side hills as it didn't feel as stable as the BX,which felt very stable on side hills.After some playing around and experimenting I would say the 2620 is just as stable,it just took a while to build up my confidence with it.I see you are thinking of buying a B2620 and now have a L3830 which I believe is a Grand L model.Although the 2620 is a nice little tractor it doesn't have the Grand L's features or refinement.It is taking a bit of adjustment going from the 3240 to the 2620.Last night I was using the tractor to do some FEL work and was reaching for the HDS lever,like on the 3240,but it isn't there.I also miss the reclining seat with armrests and tilt steering,which made it easier to get on and off the tractor.There is definitely an adjustment period.

Thank you for the great feedback! Yes I have a 3830. Great machine! I will be keeping it. I need to o drive a b2620 again. I know the new bx25d is really comfortable.

It is a Kubota grill guard but it is a bit "weak" if you know what I mean.I am thinking of modifying it but haven't got around to it yet.

There is an arm rest kit option from Kubota if you like

Thought I would give ya a heads up. If you are thinking of putting chains on your new tractor, you might have to install wheel spacers. I needed em for my B3030.

You are probably right,I don't really know.I won't look into chains until the fall.If I need spacers,I will look into making them verses buying them.What type of tires do you have on the 3030 or do all tire types need spacers?Can I ask where you got the spacers and how much they cost?

I got turfs. If you haven't got at lest 2" clearance between your tires and fenders/frame, you will probably need spacers. I got Kubota 1.5" ones from the dealer. They will probably cost about $350 and 1 labor hour to install. I wish all utility tractors came with enough clearance that you wouldn't need em.

Do you know the part no or have a link to it? Thinking of one for my b2920, but don't know if they make of the reversable BH seat.
