new b 3030

I'm just about to buy a B 3030,hst,factory cab,402 loader & turf tires. Looking for some feedback from owners. I have a B 7500 that i really like but i need more power at the pto & 3 pt. hitch. Thanks in advance. Scott.

I like mine. It has plenty of power and easy to manuver.Be sure to check the FEL to make sure it is level with the brush guard. They are known to be off. Mine was 1" high on the left side. There is also some complaints about vibration. I dont think mine has this problem but there are a number of B3030 owners out here that have this problem. Over all I think its going to be a good tractor. Only complaint is not enough seat time. I have just reached 50 hrs and completed the service myself. It was easy but very$$.

I am also considering the B3030 as well. I test drove the B2630 & was really impressed with the manuverability.

One question/concern I have is with the 60"mmm mowing capability, The current lawn tractor I have is a Deere 445 garden tractor with 54" suspended deck.
The Kubota deck travels on the ground and I am not sure how well it cuts, especially if the ground is wet.

With my Deere (weight 900# without deck) I can go through 1" of standing water with mower running, and not sink into the ground. Granted not the best practice, but I am pressed for time to get the grass done at times..

Do the wheels on the mmm dig in when the ground is wet?

Is this 3030 a fair turf machine with turf tires?

I have 5.25 acres total, and have a number of projects in mind.
I must sell the 445 and a ford 860 before buying the B3030..

dan, never tried mowing in standing water so can't speak to that. i have lots of trees and it is very manuverable. i replaced a jd2210 w/62c with b3030. it mows (85% of my usage) very well. i have the r4's and really doesn't impact dry ground any more than 2210. i mow 8 acres. uses less fuel than 2210 to mow same land and in less time. with 6-7 hundred lbs ballast on back and fel on it (about 3000 lbs total)does track the grass down some. so far i'm tickled orange. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

btw, the loader is a 403. 402 is for the 7800.

I have had my B3030 about two weeks. I have 72 inch 3pt mower, fel and 5ft box blade. I really like the 3pt mower. It does an excellent job. I have used the fel to move some gravel and large brush piles. I am surprised how much power this cut has. I considered the 72mmm but was worried about it being in the way whilr doing dirt work and I have always used a 3pt mower so I am used to doing that. It is also less expensive than the mmm.

I would make sure you have a 3030 cab demo at your property. I find the 3030 cab to quite top heavy and notice quite a bit of rocking and side tilt on certain ground.

Did the machine you operated have filled rear tires? That makes a big difference in the tip factor!

My 3030 cab does not have filled tires. I don't find there is any tip over factor or feeling with the 3030 cab only that the cab does rock back and forth quite a bit. Other cab tractors we have have little or no cab rock at all thus the reason I note the movement with the 3030.
