New attachments needed

Is that one the King Hitter? I'm sure I've seen both cable concepts you attached, but not sure about the brands.

The spring loaded [thus smaller hammer per rating] Shavers seem more common around here. Likely trade offs both ways: less maintainance vs. less extranious weight; maybe others?

I thought I would bring this back to the top. Has anybody got any new ideas for attachments that they need? How about attachments thay they recently made?

1. Something to separate rocks from the soil. The 'Rock King' from Absolute innovations looks great. If it wasn't a little too heavy for the PT425 I would definitely get one.

2. A grapple like the 'Brush Crusher' from Westendorf. If I could attach it to my PT425 I would order one tomorrow.

Also, a wood splitter that would split wood lying on the ground.

Somebody on here has a wood splitter flipped over so they can drive up to a log, set it down over the piece, split it, then lift up and move on. It is big and RED!

I'm for any hydraulic chipper/shredder - as long as it offers a high chute so the chips can be dumped into a pickup or wagon - not on the ground. /for us lighter users a less expensive 3" -4" capacity would be nice for the smaller PTs and bigger units for the bigger PTs.

I got a 425 earlier this year( love it BTW)--As I live in the marvelous Tug Hill Region I got a snow blade--but didn't get the wheels. I was going to fabricate some shoes like my other plow--But I've heard that a simple solution to prevent digging up the yard and gravel driveway is to replace the cutting edge with a steel pipe (entire length of blade) that will ride over the bumps--etc. The pipe is welded to flat stock that bolts to the plow.

As with my pick-up plow--once the snow is packed/iced-- I take off the shoes and ride the hardpack/ice until spring breakup.

Has anyone done this with a pipe?

Arnie,

I used 3/4" pipe welded to angle iron clips which bolt to the blade. This prevents digging into the lawn. I have the caster wheels which are used for uneven ground such as pushing back the snowbanks on the lawn. The pipe is cheap and easy as long as you have a welder.

Will try to get it done today as snow is only weeks away.
Had not thought of the clips--will try that--as I don't have flat stock laying around.
