Just got a new to me 4300. No owner's manual. Forgot to ask what the handle beneath the steering wheel does. Thanks

Ejection seat...

Actually, it is probably your tilt lock for the tilt function of the steering wheel. Be careful, you can crack the plastic console parts if you try to 'tilt' too much.

I can't see mine right now, but will check later. I do think it is ejection handle....I mean tilt wheel. haha

With a little bit of digging you can find the PDF manual on the JD website. I found it just a couple of months ago.
