Buying Advice New 4066R with SSQA

I have decided to buy a 4066R but prefer skid steer quick attach which I can order with a new loader. The dealer could not find a deere bucket to go on the loader without just ordering one that comes factory on a skid steer. I love the looks of the heavy duty bucket with loops but I believe it is only available with John Deere attachments. Anyone have any experience with this or advice?

Because you have chosen the construction grade SS coupler, Deere offers the worksite pro construction grade buckets. Your options are to paint the construction bucket green, and add hooks. Or modify the HD agricultural bucket to fit on the SS coupler. Alternatively you could custom order a bucket from somebody like werk-brau to have the coolest looking bucket on the block.

This is 100% correct.

The loader bucket you want is actually a worksite Pro bucket that they use on the 110tlb. They are a little different shape than a true skid steer bucket and they don’t have the step on the top.
The part number I have for my 4720 400cx loader (with skid steer mounts)is LVB25342. It is a 72 inch heavy duty bucket with a bolt on cutting edge. It is nearly indestructible. It weighs about 430 pounds.
Don’t forget to weld on some of Ken’s grab hooks (I have 3)

Thought I would mention you will need to subtract the weight of the bucket from the FEL lift capacity to get your lift limits. Just make sure you are ok with those numbers when getting a heavier bucket and SSQA. They both add weight.

I did order my Massey with the HD bucket which is just a skid steer bucket. Even says "Type: SKID STEER" on the label

Some of that choice is just a matter of personal preference. I very much like my 400cx (self leveling).
I would say if you plan to use pallet forks or a bale spear, then you would 100% prefer a self leveling.
If you plan to mostly use a grapple or bucket, it wouldn't matter as much.

If you aren't doing a LOT of fork work or big hay bale work I wouldn't do it. Normal loader work it's not needed.

I’m not up on the loader the loader specs for the new 4 series John Deere’s, but when I got my 4720 with the 400cx loader, I believe they were advertising 20% greater lift with the 400cx (self leveling) vs 400x (non self leveling).
