Kubota GST Grand L3130 w/ 723 loader, Ags
I picked up my new 3130 today with 723 loader and oversized Ags. Will be putting it through its paces starting Friday for two weeks. I'll be up at my land and breaking it in gently. From what I have experinced so far ... It's a very nicely built, ergonomically for me, and actually quite Quiet machine. Maybe because the muffler is brand new. I may have some questions on these boards in the future so I'm saying hello.........

I sold my other 22 HP tractor with all the attachments because I'll need bigger ones with this tractor. I did a lot of looking and I like the heaviness for what I need it for. I just kept my auger , middle buster and 5 foot rotary cutter for this one... I'll be picking up a 6" box scraper which should be the only other thing I need. {@this time.....}

How long have you had yours and what are the main uses??? I can't wait to really give it a workout...

Congratulations on your new purchase! I also have the L3130/723 combo. I keep reading that you are going to really give it a workout. Don't forget there is a break-in period for the new engine. The dealer advised me to not run it wide open for the first ten hours, and to vary the rpms. Actually the manual has a caution about running it wide open for the first fifty hours. I have fifteen hours on mine right now. I should have twenty tomorrow afternoon. I have been going easy on it, never going over 2,200 rpms. It has been fun to operate so far. I have really accomplished alot with the frontend loader around the farm. I didn't have a FEL on my old tractor. Good Luck with your new addition.

Nice photos. I have R-4s instead of the ag tires. What kind of trans. did you get? I have a DT with the suttle shift.

If you haven't really messed around with a FEL, like myself. This really helped me out. I was having trouble picking up rocks, I kept pushing them around. I drove the tractor into my barn, where it has a concrete floor. I then placed the bucket perfectly flat on the floor. That way you can take a piece of tape and wrap around the level rod on the FEL. Now, I can easily gauge what angle I have the bucket. That one little mark, made all the diffence in the world when you need to pick up stuff. Good Luck.

I/m on vacation for two weeks starting Friday and I know I'll have a lot of seat time. I'll probably put quite a few hours on her during this time but I will be varying the speeds etc. Mostly FEL work at not wide open throttle...It's the GST model which I wanted and not because it was slightly cheaper then HST. Serves my needs...

Greenlaw,
I actually called the service department today after you said you took it easy on yours. They said, Hook up the brush Hog, bring her up to PTO speed and cut until you're done. With the warranty provided, thats what I'll do.

Congratulations on your new tractor!! I hope it is cooler where you are! I have the week off, so trying to get lots of things done that I am behind on (lots of honey-do things!). I have a cab tractor and I'm still opting for inside projects during the hottest part of the day; doing tractor work early and late.
Again, congrats on the new tractor. Oh, and I would vary the RPM's some for the first 50 hrs, not just set it at PTO and leave it, probably not run wide open, but otherwise, I wouldn't baby it. I spent the first 7 hrs on the 5030 bush hogging, just varied the RPMs every 20-30 minutes.

Been pretty hot up this way but will only be in the low 80's for the next week. I have a lot of loader work to get done and some brush hogging. It'll be fun.... You know the feeling...

Looks great. I just put a magic marker line around the inner tube for now. I don't know how long it will last on there but it works for now. Here's a pic of the big AG tires I had put on the tractor. Floatation plus the R-1 aggressiveness.. Should also give it some stability...
