New 3038H

Hey ya'll just wanted to introduce myself and my new 3038H (Tier III). Got the std FEL, and a grapple bucket, pallet forks, and box blade. I have about 10hrs on it in the first week. So far so good. We bought a small abandoned farm and we will be working to rehab it over time. Right now I have mountains of brush and saplings that I've trimmed back that were encroaching on the 5 acre pasture.

Local dealer was abut $1000 more than a dealer 2 hours away who gave me free delivery (and a tank of gas and rear ballast). I thought it was odd that there's no factory registration or warranty. I've got a little experience driving small Kubota's, but this is the first tractor I've owned. Any maintenance tips or other gotcha's would be much appreciated!

Why don't u have warranty??

I have the factory warranty, but never filled out a card or webpage with the manufacturer. I assume it all goes through the dealer

If they register it , u have a 5 year warranty from the factory! If purchased a new unit

U should be happy!! Great equipment!! If have issues and don't get any help from ur local dealer, give me a shout!! I'll take care of it!!

OK, so I was moving brush today with the grapple on the FEL (and with box blade attached on the 3 pt) and when I get back to the barn I couldn't lower the 3 pt. I raised it when I started this morning and didn't move it all day, but it no workie at the end of the day? Am I missing something simple?

try turning the knob on the floor below the seat, might be in a lock position. remember to also check for loose bolts on wheels, fel, etc. , I found a few loose.

Thanks, the knob did it. I never adjusted it, but I must have kicked it to the tighten side getting on and off. Thanks

First off, Welcome!! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine! Great tractor.. I had the same problem with the knob.. It's in a bad place and from time to time I end up kicking it by accident and rotating the knob. Hopefully that is the only problem you will experience.. As others have said go through occasionally and check all the bolts. Do your maintenance and things will be good.
