New 3010 owner

I just want to say thanks to all you people out there for your knowledge and advice. It helped me make my decision and it helped at the dealer that I knew a little about what I wanted to buy. Looking forward to spending time on my Kubota and with you folks on TBN....Thanks again

Congratulations on the new tractor! I got mine in July and have been amazed at everything you can do with it. It's a great machine and will serve you well.

Congratulation to you also. I also received my 3010 in July. Did you get the fel with it. Is it gst or hst. Whatever you have you will enjoy. I enjoy mine too much. Have already 128 hrs. on it. It runs everyday and doing plenty nice work. I know you will enjoy.

I got the FEL and HST which took some getting used to after 21 yrs with a Farmall.Only got 6 hrs on it, I'm a little nervous about using it too much ,I don't want to screw something up. A friend told me to just go out and work the hell out of it, it can take the work load. I guess I'm a little too careful but I want to be sure I break it in right, the dealer said not to run it wide open for the first 50 hrs.and that's about it. Any tips on break in? PS it sure is a pretty tractor

If you do a search on break-in, you'll find more opinions on break-in recommendations than you can shake a stick at.

Most of them seem to boil down to:
1. Use common-sense.

2. Don't use full-throttle for extended periods of time. ( but do use it if not doing so would cause the tractor to bog down and lug the engine )

3. Vary your RPM's through a fairly wide range. ( choose the RPM 'needed' for the task at hand. )

Good luck with your new 3010. A friend of mine has a 3010 GST and it is a handy little tractor.

Hi Roadtrash, I have a new L3010 HST w FEL...its one amazing machine...I have 60 hours on mine and I just love to sit in the shop and look at it. The FEL is one tool I didn't think I'd use much, my neighbor has a 4300 JD with a FEL and he said get it you won't reqret it. I use mine all the time, probably the most useful implement I own. With the bushhog on the back and the bucket on the front I can do major damage to overgrown ditch banks and around fields. You can even trim trees if you hit the limbs just right....lol...I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy my machine.

PS ....my neighbor wants to hook them together and see who can pull who....I think I can take him pretty easily.
