Not real familiar with the electric lift on mower decks, but I do have one on my UTV dump bed, and they seem to be a pretty simple and reliable design, even if sourced from china. (what isn't these days)

I would definitely agree with the oil drain on 2/25/3K series, they were out to lunch on this design. At least drill a hole and point the drain downwards, or something! It'll be interesting to see if this particular engineering marvel was addressed in the re-design.

I really liked the GT3200's I've owned, I'm tempted to go and buy a low-hour one to keep since they will be no more. Loved the diff lock. Of course, I say the same thing about getting another 1782.....(sigh)!

My job in operations is make a plant run after the bean counters spec out (what engineering designs) and have it built with old/cheap/undersized equipment. Good times. It's kept me in this occupation for the last ~14yrs!

And my job as a Manufacturing Engineer is to build a production line to make your build rate for they money the bean counters budgeted in some wet dream they had, which is usually half of what it really would take....so there goes all the mistake-proofing, nice tooling, spare parts, etc.:mur:

....and we wonder why we can't compete anymore at building products.

Hahah!! too true. In the end, everyone is frustrated and those who made the big decisions up front have since moved on to other positions within the company! Thanks for reminding me about the age thing. I'll be 40 in another week. Still trying to figure out where the time went!

My GT3235's headlights are all cracked up and grill bent. Probably because the operator doesn't know how to drive.

The 2000 and 3000 series were famous for headlights falling out.....hopefully addressed with this new model. And you're right....that brush guard would look good on a 4-wheeler!

I'm curious to see where they routed the exhaust. The 2006-2010 model year under-hood oven with the out the grille outlet is a joke for a plastic hooded machine. The 3K or up to 2005 2K's were fine with the low mounted, out the side exhaust.

It's a nice looking machine. I'm curious to see it with the hood up & how they improved the exhaust since it doesn't go through the grille anymore. I like the twin pedals as opposed to the previous 2K style reverse heel pedal. I know the early 2011 specs show the rear tires as being the same as the current 2K's, but they sure don't look it. They look larger.
