new 1986 kioti owner

recently bought a 1986 lb2404 Kioti,3 cylinder diesel has 578hrs on it,excellent condition,just needed a 4x4 for a mountain property to put a 48''bush hog on and scraper blade,theres a small valve on the injection pump that has a line from the fuel tank and one from the fuel filter going to it,its a knob that can be screwed in and out about 4 turns,its screwed all the way in now,just dont know its purpose is,anyone know?never thought about the lack of info on this model,would also like to know if anyone has found a newer FEL that would fit the older model:confused2:

Can't say for sure without pictures.
I think that valve is to help bleed the fuel system of air if needed.
