Since it was legalized here the grower problems have mostly gone away. Before, if you came across a patch it was best to get out of there. One coworker came across a patch years ago which had fish line hanging at eye level, and fish hooks hanging from them.
Now the precautions we used to take for pot growers have transferred to crystal meth labs instead, and those are some crazy individuals.

It amazes me that it's still illegal. Leagalize it and watch them disappear.
Legalize only if the government gets full control and taxed like tobacco

During an election year, the Sheriff would want to show he was doing something about moonshiners, so he would drive to where HIS still was located. He would stop a good distance from the still, and yell, "John! John! I know you are in there come on out!" Course, John would run off, the Sheriff would bust up his own still, and publicize his finding of a still. This way, the Sheriff showed he was doing his job, but without busting up someone else's still. That would cost votes and cause other problems.:LOL:

Rural rules
My house in Mississippi is in a dry county. Simple possession of alcohol in your home was illegal. The guy I bought it from was a deputy sheriff.
It had a reputation for some of the best parties involving lots of alcohol.
Tales of cars lining up to get to the "party sheds" with LEO's providing parking control.
I must have cleaned out 10 55 gallon drums worth of beer and liquor bottles.
Last year they finally legalized possession of alcohol, but not sales outside the town limits.

I dose hurt hurt it. black market will always be present but it slow it down pretty good ... Decriminalization of drugs as many benefit you can see the result in Portugal.

No, there are not appropriate tests to determine if someone is driving or working while high. Until those tests can be made 100% accurate, illegalization is the best option,

mmm i respect your opinion but right now people are getting high and it’s illegal … they can get behind the wheel while high and it is illegal … so to me if you legalize it then cops are looking for it even more. If a driver is suspected to be high he gets pulled over and the officer dose a roadside sobriety test (not perfect but pretty effective) then they go get tested by urine test to confirm … in canada they have the drager saliva test not 100% effective but pretty effective… and after le legalization in canada lots of old timer stop smoking weed just because of that they said now cops will be looking for people being high behind the wheel more then before.

Drunk on alcohol or high on weed? Either way the Cops will be looking for impaired drivers. It's the impaired driving they will notice and will be their probable cause for stopping a driver.

They will have to make a case that the impairment was a danger and what caused the impairment. The biggest problem with driving under the influence of drugs is that testing for it is not as easy as a breath test with a legal presumptive limit. Once it is there will be more cases filed on driving under the influence of drugs.

With the more frequent use of compulsory blood draws the cases of driving while drugged are increasing.

Probably took it back to the station, dried it and smoked it...lol
Honest to goodness, my oldest siblings had some friends that worked for the highway department in the late 60's-early 70's. The cops pulled several truck loads of pot plants and told them to take it back to the county garage and burn it.... so they did! Stood there for several hours around huge burning pile of pot plants. They were absolute stoners and it was probably the best day of their lives. Epic! 🤣

And then they drove home

Theres quite a few doing it legally on prescriptions too. And no, I dont believe the cops look for it more. Over the last two years, I have noticed less police enforcement of traffic in my area. Less stringent enforcement from the judicial benches doesnt seem to help much either.
