Eric,
When you use your wand you should be blowing the dirt in the opposite direction. You want to blow the various seeds and chunks of crap back out the way they became lodged in place. Other wise you may actually compact many of the larger pieces further into the fins.

I can confirm that blowing in is not good. I have been using a leaf blower on the A/C condenser on the Toolcat, it did compact small blades of grass with the dirt dust. More than half of the total area was plugged.

Update: saw the neighbor's groundsman out yesterday with the Deere, and found out that he had tried blowing out the various condensers and such, and the AC was working fine again. Thanks to the members who suggested doing that. Not having a cab, I was clueless about that- although I make sure my radiators stay clean.

The fan and the fan shroud are in the way of efficiently blowing things forward from behind the radiator. Because of those obstacles, it dies a better job blowing out the radiator out the rear. After all, air flows just fine from front to back through the radiator. If I got enough junk packing from the front, I'd pop the radiator lose and nail it with a pressure washer.

FWIW, I blew out the vast majority of the junk before making the video, and then thought, "I should make a video of this!"

Over time you will find that method to be a problem. It is much easier to get seeds and similar things out before they get wet and expand in between the fins.
