Hi;I am trying to educate myself a little on hydrulics (not sure how I got here,but---What a find!!!!)
I have an old cub cadet. I installed a 13hp motor, dug up a Hyd. pump & a 2 spool 4 way valve & a Cyl. at a scrap yard,hooked it up to a plow blade. Works really well! I was so encouraged with my success I installed another cyl on the back for a disk. It lifts the implement just fine, But ! Wont stay up. From what I have been reading that spool appears to be a motor spool (free wheeling) The lever is spring loaded (no detent etc)
I have many more Hyd add-ons in mind for this tractor (TOY) & can use that spool for something. I was thinking of adding another 4way, maybe a 4 spool valve to the one I have. Getting deeper into this project & know just enough about hydrulics to get in trouble.
I will be spending alot of time on your site! Iam sure some of what I read will stick to this peanut sized brain of mine. Thanks!!
