need some help to identify

I was wondering if anyone knows where this rubber boot might go on my new,GL3540HST.I found it on the ground directly under the front axle.I looked for hours but I could not find where it goes.I was hoping someone on TBN might know before I have to drive hours to the dealer and ask them.

Looks like a thread protector for a Hydraulic line or pump. They are used to protect the threads until the fitting is used. May have been left stuck somewhere upon assembly and just fell out. Just a guess since that is what it looks like from the photo.

Yep, that's what it looks like to me also. Assembly trash.

Yep, that's what it looks like to me, too. I wish manufacturers would be more careful about leaving things like that. In October '91, I bought a new motorhome in Las Vegas. We came to Texas then up into New England and back down into Virginia when it threw both fan belts on the Interstate Highway. Neither belt was damaged, but it was quite a job for me to get them back on lying under that thing on the shoulder of the road. And I guess I'd have always worried about the cause of it throwing the belts if I hadn't found one of those thread protectors on the frame and you could see that it had fallen onto a belt pulley from somewhere.
