Need Rebuilt Kubota Engine

My poor little Kubota L245DT lost its oil plug while guestworker was using it and the engine is now toast. I was wondering if anyone has found a good location to purchase rebuilt kubota engines. The dealer wants $5000.00 to rebuild engine. Ouch! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Seriously, sorry to hear about the loss. I amost went into shock the first time I had a 3 cylinder diesel engine rebuilt and saw what it cost.

This could be the case. Also, striking the drain plug on a rock or similar will loosen it to the point where it will vibrate out on it's own.
After 20 years of repairing ATV's, I've seen it happen a couple of times. As a matter of fact, this is how overly-tightened bolts have to be loosened. Either strip the head off it trying to get it out, or give it a bonk square on the head to make it turnable.

Just a thought.
