Need puter help

Wife says if I don't get this thing fixed she is going to throw it at me /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Last week during the rush puter quit working,would not load. I resorted to using the restore disk that came with it new in '99. Got it working so I could go to MSN site for help. Found out I should have used system restore on puter to date before problem.(ol' well ) to late now. Problem now is I can't find my address book,media player,scanner and maybe others /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Thanks for any help.
PS This is running windows 98 and you mite can tell I don't know much about puters.

Sorry to tell you - but if you used the system rstore disk it wipes the hard drive clean a fresh image just like the day you got it.
So all you data is gone - sorry.
What you can do from this time forward is create a free account through Gmail (gmail.com) you can have 1 gig of mail so you attach files you want as a backup and email them to your gmail account.
This way you can have a backup of your address book, pics, music, files, etc.
