Need pasanger tires

Last week I had a blow out on the hwy. So on my day off I went to farm & fleet to get a tire so I don't have to ride on a donut. I was going to buy all 4 tiger paw the price was kinda hight so I told her put one on, They are T rating on the tires and they just had a H rating tire so she told me they won't do it!!. Do the T and H make that much difference or was she pissed I didn't buy all 4?.

I ordered a tire from Tire Rack and it came with a warning to only put it on the rear if I'm only changing one tire. Putting it in the front would potentially cause loss of vehicle control. Kind of makes sense but not so much. As far as the different tire rating, I wouldn't know if that is a concern or not.

I guess they were saying the tire you were wanting to purchase didn't match the tires you currently have and this might create a hazard??? If so the answer would be to purchase a tire that matched.

Only time I buy one at a time is if I ruin one, and then I replace it with the same tire.

I can understand that I have about 200 miles to get home and I really don't think that a mis match tire would be that dangerous. I plan on buying firestones.

I'm certainly no tire expert however a tire shop installing mismatched tire treads are probably frowned upon by some regulation?

I will just go to poomp tires when I get a lay off. If the price wasn't to much I would of went for two but for a junky tire like tiger paw I just can't spend that much.

I totally understand.

All issues like this are caused by a "Lawsuit" happy society. Mentioning your donut spare, I frequently see cars hauling butt down Interstate 35 with those on. Usually they are speeding and passing me.

When you are ready call Tire Rack. They are local to me, but are fantastic on price. They will deliver. If you need it mounted and balanced they will even give you a local referral and I think quote the cost. Ask for Dallas as your salesman.
