I agree. Believe the OEM LS partners with for backhoes is Taesung (also Korean), and it is most probable that the same model is sold with/without brand-specific subframes to other manufacturers. Near as I can tell Kioti, TYM & Mahindra all sell the same model BHs as LS does for the XU and possibly the XR...

The bh on my Mahindra is made in USA by an American company.

Well, this was/is a great thread, and there's no voodoo about waking one up from the dead, that I know of.. so here's my thought on 3 point backhoes. I'd bet that nobody ever wrecked their top-link by digging, seems to me it would have to be done by pushing with the hoe. I've got one on order now, so that's the kind of thing I'll be thinking about while trying to sleep.

In addition to the normal top link, my 3pt backhoe has two heavy duty top links that go from top link area on backhoe down to a heavy duty bracket bolted onto the drawbar (heavy hitch part that sticks out the bottom on back of tractor you use for pulling implements). Once all mounted correctly, it is really stable, but not as stable as a sub frame mount.

I doubt I could bend a top link but I have bent a lower 3-point bar, using the hoe to drag the tractor to one side. Don't Do That!

Pushing up high, like on a tree or a tall stump, would violate the laws of geometry. I will need to retrain myself.

I recently purchased an LS backhoe for my XR4046. I really like the subframe mount. I looked at 3pt. mounts but opted to go with the subframe. I think the LS subframe will be much easier to put on and take off. Not that I have much warranty left but I would check and see if a 3pt. would alter the warranty or not. LS only offers rubber stabilizer pads which are pricey (around $200 per 4) and seem to not hold up very well. For less than $40.00 I made a set. I got the idea off a youtube video that shows how to build them. I am by no means a great welder but I get by. thumbnail.jpg
